Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    JAEA has been conducting the R&Ds on applied Laser technology for nuclear plants decommissioning, especially for Laser cutting and Laser decontamination. The Laser cutting and Laser decontamination technologies are available for dismantling of structures and for material recycles, respectively.
    JAEA also applies the Laser technologies developed through these research process into industries(Laser quenching, Laser de-sensitization and a computer code application).

  • Work content and job description

    For effective execution and deployment of these activities, JAEA recruits an excellent researcher who has the capability to study various kinds of Laser thermal processing. The researcher is required to have dedicated R&D experiences and knowledges on Laser welding or cutting , Laser metal surface modification(quenching and de-sensitization), materials and computer code analysis. And also, the researcher needs to implement, manage and lead these applied Laser R&Ds.
