Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Tsukuba is working on a research project to make policy suggestions to solve disparities and inequalities in various fields. Therefore, we are seeking a researcher who can contribute to this project, who have an expertise in political science or public administration, to empirically examine the policy formation system. We are also working to examine how digitalization will affect democratic society. In this regard as well, we are seeking a researcher who can potentially contribute in the future.
Work content and job description
(1) Research promotion at the Consortium of Human and Social Sciences for International and Comparative Research (ICR)
(2) Teaching courses and seminars related to quantitative approaches to political science and public administration in the M.A. & Ph.D. Degree Programs of International Advanced Japanese Studies
(3) Teaching courses and seminars related to quantitative approaches to political science and public administration in the School of Social and International Studies
(4) Administrative tasks in the above organizations

Description
(1) Doctoral degree, or the prospect of obtaining a doctoral degree prior to the date of appointment.
(2) Publication record with academic publishers and/or reputable academic journals in the field related to Quantitative Approaches to Political Science or Public Administration
(3) Having at least one publication in English is preferable.
(4) Ability to conduct classes and research guidance in both English and Japanese language.
(5) Ability to conduct administrative tasks in Japanese language.
