Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
A postdoctoral position is available working in the laboratory of Hiroki Taniguchi Ph.D., an associate professor at the Ohio State University. Our research focus is on understanding the molecular, cellular, and circuit mechanisms underlying cortical regulation of pain sensation in a physiological state as well as a pathological state induced by cancer and injury. We are particularly interested in the role of cortical inhibitory circuits in pain sensation. To address these questions, we employ mouse genetics, molecular biology, virology, genomics, imaging techniques, and behavioral analysis. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have experiences in mouse genetics, mouse behavior, two-photon imaging, RNA-sequencing/analysis, and cancer biology.
