Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The successful candidate will be an expert in a field that takes a mathematical and statistical approach to human issues related to education and information literacy in the information society. The issues include education, in which knowledge is conveyed by teachers and news, whereby information is conveyed to mass audience, while the means of conveyance include ICT such as e-Learning, face to face communication, and mass media. Any field of study is acceptable as long as it studies either micro- or macro-phases of the process of information transmission, reception, and communication. In addition to educational technology and computational social science, the fields include adjacent fields such as sociology, social psychology, cognitive science, and econometrics.
Subjects to be taught: Specialized courses in the Master's and Doctoral Programs of the Graduate School of Information Sciences, including courses related to media informatics, and university-wide education courses.

(d) be able to cooperate with other faculty members in a leadership position in research, education, and administrative duties.
