Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

We are currently recruiting Research fellows who are interested in aging research.
Please send your CV and your interests in aging research.

  • Work content and job description

As part of the Regulation of Ageing project, we are looking for researchers who will be responsible for the following tasks:

    * Investigating the promotion and regulation of ageing through the Epigenome, which involves examining histone and DNA modifications to establish a novel ageing model using the ICE mouse.
    * Exploring various perspectives on the rate and timing of ageing, including stem cells, DNA damage, epigenome, mitochondria, and lipid metabolism in ageing models. The use of AI and Deep Learning for data analysis and the establishment of in vitro ageing experimental systems and factor isolation using CRISPR Screening are also planned.
    * Analyzing brain neural circuits and cellular functions (including nsRNA-seq) in brain regulation from the retina via the non-visual receptor OPN5, which can be applied to conditions such as depression, dementia, and Parkinson's disease.
    * Investigating the effects of external signals on the body and ageing regulation, which may provide valuable insight into effective ageing control methods for conditions such as sarcopenia and dementia.
    * Developing drugs to target factors in both ICE mice and OPN5 for effective ageing control, as well as conducting research to establish start-up companies focused on social implementation of ageing control methods.
