Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    In the Institute of Biomaterials and Bioengineering, researchers in the fields of ceramics and polymers form the Division of Biomedical Materials and promote joint research and industry-academia collaboration in cooperation with the School of Medicine and the School of Dentistry, while maintaining cooperation among the fields.
    We are seeking a candidate for a professorship to comprise the Division of Biomedical Materials in charge of metallic biomaterials. The applicant will be in charge of biomaterial research including new alloys, surface modification, 3D printing, biofunctionalization, ultrafine processing, antibacterial activity, material database, etc. and will engage in education and research activities in cooperation with the existing Department of Inorganic Biomaterials, the Department of Organic Biomaterials, and the Department of Soft Matter and Biomedical Engineering. The expected candidate should have in-depth knowledge and research experience in a broad range of materials science and materials engineering and be motivated to conduct research and education on the creation of novel metallic biomaterials and their application as medical devices.

Wages

  • Annual Salary : 9 million yen ~ 12 million yen

    Salary will be determined by the annual salary system outlined by TMDU regulations.
    Due to the merger with Tokyo Institute of Technology, scheduled for October 2024, working conditions at the new university (Institute of Science Tokyo) may be subject to change.

Working hours

  • Working hours :08:30-17:15

    Break time :12:00-13:00

    Overtime and other explanations : Working hours are discretionary labor system.
    The working hours are basically from 8:30 to 17:15, Monday to Friday, and are left to the discretion of the worker.
    (Due to amendments to regulations related to the Labor Standards Act, application of the discretionary work system requires consent.)
