    Innovation Center of NanoMedicine (iCONM) is a leading research facility that will serve as the nucleus for the formation of a center for the life science field at the King SkyFront, and the Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion began operating the facility in April 2015, utilizing government policies as the operator and proposer. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and experimental equipment capable of conducting R&D from organic synthesis and microfabrication to preclinical testing in a single step, it is a very unique research facility, unparalleled in the world, designed to promote open innovation through industry-academia-government and medical-industry collaboration.

  • Work content and job description

    Research Assistant/Technical support person position is available at the Innovation Center of NanoMedicine (iCONM).
    We are currently in search of a research assistant or technical support staff to help with daily laboratory activities, particularly in the chemical synthesis laboratory. The responsibilities will include preparing and analyzing polymers, nanoparticles, as well as analyzing small molecules using techniques such as HPLC, LC/MS, NMR, and others. Training will be provided as necessary to learn and adapt to these techniques. This position is immediately available and initially for one year, with the potential for extension depending on the availability of funding. We give preference to candidates who are currently residing in Japan.

    Background in Chemistry

  • Work experience

    Minimum Qualifications
    - Organic / Polymer synthesis and related characterization techniques (HPLC, NMR etc.)
    - English conversation skill in Chemistry
    Preferred Qualification
    - Prior experience in organic/polymer synthesis and related characterization techniques (HPLC, NMR) is preferable.
    - Prior experience in cell-culture experiments.
    - Willingness to adopt new skills necessary for the project
    - Proactive and dynamic.
