Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    Materials Science and Engineering fields, particularly related to the design, fabrication, analysis, evaluation of energy conversion materials based mainly on metallic materials, are preferred.

  • Work content and job description

    The successful candidates should have ability to carry out cutting-edge research on above mentioned research expertise fields. The duties involve providing management support for the research group to be joined, and providing academic advice to students in undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, being responsible for student experiment workshop and lectures for the undergraduate course of Materials Science and Engineering. In the graduate education program Energy Science and Informatics course (Materials field), the duties related to the implementation and management support of research and education activities based on experiments and computation are required as well.

Wages

  • Annual Salary : 4 million yen ~ 6 million yen

    The successful candidate will be paid under the “Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance” pursuant to the Institute’s Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff under Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance. In accordance with the regulations, the amount of annual salary will be determined based on the standard level for the first fiscal year of employment, and will be based on performance evaluations in subsequent years. A retirement allowance will be paid separately at the time of retirement.

    Assistant professor hired immediately after completing a doctoral degree
    Standard: JPY 5,000,000
    Minimum*: JPY 4,800,000
    Maximum*: JPY 5,600,000
