Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Tohoku University of Community Service and Science (TUCSS) is planning to establish the Department of International Communication, Faculty of International Studies. A full-time teacher is required who can be in charge of teaching the following subjects as well as advising students and managing the teacher training course.
Work content and job description
Applicants must specialize in English linguistics and related disciplines, and be able to teach the following subjects:
[1] Introduction to English Linguistics
[2] English Grammer
[3] Introduction to International Communication (omnibus)
[4] Basic Seminar (for Undergraduate Freshperson)
[5] Special Seminar (for Undergraduate)
※ Candidates are required to pass an inspection by the council under MEXT concerning qualification, position, and teaching subjects.

Ph.D. / Doctor
Description
1. Ph.D. degree, or equivalent experience of research, education, or social activity.
2. Research achievements and teaching experience in a subject-related field.
3.Experience in research both in Japan and abroad.
4. We especially welcome applicants who will actively involve themselves in the administrative work, will fulfill their responsibilities as faculty members, and are motivated to contribute to the research and education for local community or public interest.
5. In principle all classes are conducted face-to-face. You will need to commute to campus.
6. Level N1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or equivalent language ability.
