Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Institute of Microbial Chemistry (IMC) invites applications for Postdoctoral Research Fellowships. We are looking for researchers who are interested in and are enthusiastic about any of the following research themes written below. We welcome applicants from varied backgrounds, regardless of the fields of research. We are conducting basic research on microbial infections and cancer, and are developing new medicines for infectious diseases and cancer by utilizing the potential of microorganisms and the power of synthetic organic chemistry.

Description
Requirements: Ph.D degree (Including those who are expected to obtain a Ph.D degree)
One or more of the following:
① Experience or background in molecular or cellular biology.
② Experience or background in research using genetically engineered mice.
③ Experience in deep learning and big data analysis using artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of medical and life sciences (including genomic medicine and omics analysis).
④ Experience or background in natural product chemistry.
⑤ Experience or background in synthetic organic chemistry.
⑥ Experience in chemical structure determination of natural products.

Supplementary explanation of compensation
Salary: 5 million yen per year
Working hours: 9:00-17:30 on weekdays (including 1 hour break). However, flexible work hours are possible under the condition of 7.5 hours/day, including core hours of 10:00-15:00. Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, summer vacation, year-end and New Year holidays, and paid vacations.
Commuting expenses: Provided according to regulations. Social insurance coverage
