Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    Division of Human Centric Information Processing, Medical Devices and Materials Engineering Section, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems, Okayama University is seeking individuals who can play central roles in research and education in information engineering, including lifelogging, human interface, voice processing, natural language processing, artificial intelligence and signal processing,with the aim of achieving the rich human life required to realize a wellbeing society and Society 5.0. We are seeking individuals who are knowledgeable in this field and who can play central roles in research on medical-engineering collaboration.

  • Work content and job description

    (1)Education and research at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems: Each of the successful applicants is expected to deliver lectures on his/her areas of expertise, supervise graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research, and conduct his/her own research.
    (2)Education and research at the Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: Each of the successful applicants is expected supervise graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research, and conduct his/her own research.
    (3)Education at School of Engineering (Information Technology course, Information Technology Advanced Track): Each of the successful applicants is expected to deliver lectures on some topics of computer science, as well as supervise undergraduate students in their research.

Wages

  • Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~ 10 million yen

    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Professor 7,102,000-9,376,000yen
    An annual salary system is applied.
    The amount of salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, licenses and qualifications, work experience, etc. according to the National University Corporation Okayama University annual salary application staff salary rules.

Working hours

  • Working hours :08:30-17:30

    Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
