Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Kyushu University is seeking an experienced individual with expertise in teaching and research for appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Laboratory of Functional Anatomy, Department of Bioresource Sciences, Division of Animal and Marine Biosciences, Faculty of Agriculture.
The Laboratory of Functional Anatomy conducts education and research focusing on anatomy and histology of domestic animals in the molecular, cellular, histological and organic levels which are associated with the structural and physiological functions. The outcomes are aimed at improving human health. -
Work content and job description
Candidates are expected to have responsibility to have high expertise in the following education and research fields especially on:
1) Clarification of morphogenesis and functional mechanism in the animal locomotor system
2) Clarification of the relationships of the function of endocrinological factors and morphological characteristics in animals
3) Biology of the characteristics of the extracellular matrix
The successful candidate will be expected to teach the following subjects and supervise research activities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in Japanese, with some of the teaching and supervision done in English. Most of the courses are given by multiple professors.

(Course of Animal and Marine Biosciences in the Department of Bioresource Sciences)
Advanced Lecture on Developmental Biology, Project Research in Animal and Marine Biosciences, and other subjects

(Course of Animal Resources, School of Agriculture)
Animal Morphology I and II, Animal Histology I and II, Seminar in Graduation Thesis, Scientific English, Practice on Basic Biology II, Practice on Functional Anatomy, Field Trip, Introduction of Animal Production Science, Introduction to Agricultural Science II, and other subjects.

Holidays : Every Saturday and Sunday, national holidays, and New Year’s holidays from December 29-January 3 in addition to an annual leave entitlement and summer special holidays.
Overtime and other explanations : Based on Discretionary Labor System for professional work, it is regarded that working hours are 7 hours and 45 minutes irrespective of how much time the employee actually spends on his/her work.
