Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

The Department of Kyosei Studies was established within the School of Human Sciences in 2016. Our aim is to develop the "Kyosei Studies" as a distinct academic field and educate students by returning to the fundamental questions of "human coexistence" while reflecting on the global realities of the 21st century. The Department of Kyosei Studies seeks individuals who can theoretically and practically explore and propose ideas for symbiosis, coexistence, and conviviality, including coexistence with people from other countries and regions, with the natural environment—an essential aspect of symbiosis—and with a wide variety of other living beings. In addition to research, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at the university-wide, undergraduate, and graduate levels.
