Specialized field:
The mission of this division is to establish and implement environmental engineering approaches that seek harmony between human activities and ecosystems, and contribute to the creation of Regional Circular and Ecological Sphere. This division conducts education and research on the development of water quality conversion technologies and climate change adaptation technologies utilizing ecosystem functions, the modeling of material circulation in water environment, and the market value assessment of ecosystem conservation and utilization.
Main subjects in charge:
- Undergraduate: Earth and Environmental Science、Fundamental Ecological Engineering、Exercises in Water Environment Design I and II, Water Environment Studies A and B, etc.
- Graduate School: Ecological Engineering, Theory for Environmental Ecological Assessment, Advanced Seminar on Water Environment Design, Master and Doctor Course Seminar on Civil and Environmental Engineering, etc.
Duties:
Successful candidates will be engaged in education and research related to the above-mentioned specialized field, as well as administration of the school.

Compensation: Paid in accordance with Tohoku University Staff Employment Regulations. Transportation, housing, and dependent allowances may be provided depending on conditions.

(3) Reprints of the peer-reviewed original research papers listed in (2). (If the books listed in (2) are of particular note, a copy of the cover pages and the complete table of contents should be attached. In the case of a book with joint authorship, the part of the authorship should be indicated.)
(4) Summary of research achievements, which should be categorized by research topics with reference to (2) (within two pages in total).
(5) Five representative peer-reviewed original research papers and their abstracts (around 100 words each).
(6) List of research and educational achievements (Free description of awards received, patents, competitive research funding obtained, academic and social activities, courses taught in the past, etc.).
(7) Aspirations for education and research (should be around 1,000 words).
(8) List of 2 researchers (affiliation, name, e-mail address, phone number) who can give their opinion on the applicant.
There are no strict format requirements for each document; however, please ensure that the font size is consistent, using 10 to 10.5 points.
