Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    Education and research about materials-research DX. The associate professor will be responsible for the Kyushu-university’s project regarding the platform construction for the research DX, particularly for the area of materials science. He/she will play a role in collaborating with Center for Research Facility Digitalization and the Ultramicroscopy Research Center in charge of the research DX about scientific measurements. He/she will take classes in the undergraduate and graduate school.Please indicate your preferene in the cover letter, as to which position (associated professor or assistant professor) you will apply to.

    Teaching Responsibilities:
     Education (lectures, seminars, and experiments) in the undergraduate and graduate classes at the department of applied quantum physics and nuclear engineering.

    Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~

    The annual salary system, which was introduced on 1st of April 2020, will be applied. The annual salary is determined in accordance with the university's pay scale based on experience, etc.
    The adove annual salary are general guidelines and may be less than the above annual salary in some cases.

    Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~

    (1)Doctoral.or Ph.D. degree at the time of appointment.For the position of Assistant professor, those who are expected to obtain Doctoral.or Ph.D. degree will also be considered qualified.
    (2)Have sufficient teaching ability (including instruction and lectures in English) and enthusiasm for teaching and research in undergraduate and graduate doctoral programs.
    (3)Have particularly outstanding research achievements in the above-mentioned specialized fields.
    (4)The applicant should have the willingness and ability to actively engage in interdisciplinary research with other areas of specialization and the development of new research fields from a long-term perspective, in addition to the above-mentioned areas of specialization.
    (5)Have the ability and enthusiasm to actively develop education and research activities from an international perspective and social cooperation with industry, government, etc.
