Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
We seek candidates for the position of Professor of the Bioinformatics Research Unit. The professor will lead the Bioinformatics Research Unit, conducting bioinformatics-based omics studies and its associated educational programs in collaboration with relevant departments and research units at the Graduate School of Dentistry and Osaka University Dental Hospital. As an adjunct professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Medical Informatics at Osaka University Bioinformatics Center (OUBIC), the candidate is also expected to contribute to university-wide activities to promote bioinformatics-based omics studies in collaboration with relevant schools and institutes at Osaka University. We seek candidates who will demonstrate unique and distinguished abilities in bioinformatics-based omics studies in dentistry and oral science, conduct outstanding research projects, and engage in education and administrative activities with great insight and passion.
Work content and job description
・Manage the Bioinformatics Research Unit at the Graduate School of Dentistry
・Conduct bioinformatics-based omics studies (transcriptomics, epigenetics, disease genomics, proteomics, etc.) in dentistry and oral science
・Provide support for the omics studies at the Graduate School of Dentistry and Osaka University Dental Hospital
・Develop human resources for bioinformatics-based omics studies
・Engage in educational activities for undergraduate and graduate students
・Fulfill administrative responsibilities at the Graduate School of Dentistry and Osaka University
