Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    To establish a conducive educational environment for medical students

  • Work content and job description

    •Teach medical English to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year medical students (1 class per week per grade, full year).
    •Develop and administer examinations and grading.
    •Contribute to curriculum development and course material improvement.
    •Provide academic guidance and support for students needing additional assistance in medical English.
    •Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate medical English into interdisciplinary learning.
    •Assist with university events and initiatives that promote English education.
    •Engage in academic activities, such as presenting at conferences, publishing research papers, or applying for research grants.

Qualifications

  • Education and Degree Requirements

    Ph.D. / Doctor

    Ph.D. in English education or related fields.

  • Work experience

    Experience in teaching in a university setting.

  • Description

    •Native English proficiency or equivalent.
    •Conversational Japanese (preferred, as administrative documents are in Japanese).
    •Strong motivation to teach medical terminology and topics related to medicine.
    •Ability or willingness to teach English that aligns with the English-related questions in Japan’s national medical licensing examination.
