Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Solid Mechanics Laboratory, Department of Mechanical and Physical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tottori University is recruiting a Special Appointment Assistant Professor (Fixed Term) or Special Appointment Associate Professor (Fixed Term) in the fields of structural materials, metallic materials, elastoplastic deformation, ductile fracture, and finite element analysis.
Work content and job description
(Initial assignment) You will work on a joint research project with an industry (research on the analysis of non-uniform deformation and ductile fracture of steel materials at elevated temperature) alongside Professor Matsuno and Associate Professor Shimizu in the Solid Mechanics Laboratory.

Description
1.Must hold a master's degree or higher
2.Must have at least 2 years of experience in research and development related to structural materials (including research during graduate school). Experience in elastoplastic mechanics analysis is preferred.
3.For non-Japanese citizens, the ability to communicate in either Japanese or English is required
