Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Graduate School of International Management at Yokohama City University (YCU) has established the "YCU EconMasters Program" to strengthen the education system from undergraduate to graduate levels in YCU and promote world-class research. The opening aims to recruit individuals who can contribute to achieving these goals by teaching public economics. The university invites applicants widely for this position.
At the undergraduate level, our curriculum focuses on developing original thinking skills, problem-solving skills, English language proficiency, and planning skills to create new businesses, in addition to the foundational knowledge of business administration and economics to respond to diverse contemporary social issues.
Work content and job description
Undergraduate:
1)Public Economics (in Japanese) (2 credits), Economic Mathematics (2 credits), or Seminar on Arts and Science (Collaboration with School of Data Science) (2 credits)
2)Seminar for Sophomores (2 credits), Juniors (4 credits), and Senior (4 credits)
3)Others: possibility of teaching courses at the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
Graduate:
1)M.A. Program: Public Policy (2 credits) or Special Topics in Economics (2 credits)
2)M.A. Program: Research Supervision (8 credits)
3)Others: the possibility of teaching courses in the Ph.D. Program.

Description
1)Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent academic research experience in public economics and a profound understanding of mathematical economics.
2)Candidates are required to promote global collaboration research.
3)Candidates must be committed to the management of the School of Economics and Business Administration, the Graduate School of International Management, and YCU EconMasters Program in particular.
4)Candidates are expected to promote collaborative research with other graduate schools (such as the School of Medicine and the School of Data Science)
5)Candidates are expected to have interests in industry-academia collaboration and regional contribution in Yokohama city.
