  • Description

    (1)PhD at the time of appointment.
    (2)Outstanding achievements, and publications in the forest-related research fields (ecology, forest science, environmental science, regional resource management, etc.).
    (3)Ability in contributing to education for undergraduate and graduate students of HU and other universities and public outreach program for local communities.
    (4)Strong motivation for duties related to managing the facilities and research field of Forest Research Station. Ability to work with technical staff to develop the facilities.
    (5)Ability to live in rural regions including arrangements of research activity, public education and daily life.
    (6)Ability to manage a Forest Research Station if appointed as director of an experimental forest.
    (7)Ability to give lectures in the graduate and undergraduate courses in Japanese and English languages.

    For Assistant Professor, the term is five years. Reappointment screening will be conducted and a successful employee can be reappointed once. In the case of the reappointment, the additional term is 5years, and the Assistant Professor can promote to Associate Professor if approved by the promotion screening within five years.
