Wages

• Wage per class Amount : 28800 yen ~ 34400 yen

  (1) Monthly salary ranges from 28,800 yen to 34,400 yen (per class), depending on the number of years since the applicant graduated from university.
  (2) Transportation expenses will be paid in March 2026 for the fall semester. Please note that there is a daily maximum allowance for transportation.
  (3) No severance pay.
  (4) If a class is canceled and make-up classes are not held, the salary will be reduced according to the number of class cancellations.
  (5) No social insurance or employment insurance.
  (6) Classes may be held on alternate days of the week or on national holidays.

Qualifications

• Work experience

  (1) Have a master's degree or higher in an English-related field.
  (2) Desirably have at least two years of teaching experience at the university level.
  (3) Have 3 or more research publications, preferably within the last 5 years.
  (4) Preferably have the ability to teach in both English and Japanese. Have adequate Japanese proficiency for day-to-day work at the university if the applicant is not a native speaker of Japanese
  (5) Basic computer and other technical skills as necessary for teaching.
  (6) Understand the philosophy and educational goals of the university and be able to engage in education with enthusiasm.

  (1) Part-time (contract renewal every year)
  (2) Part-time instructors are contracted for one academic year only, with the possibility for renewal the following academic year.
  (3) If you have an employment contract with Toyo University within 6 months from the date of employment, the contract renewal period may be shortened.
