- Landscape and Economic Studies, focusing on the effective use of land resources for comfortable and sustainable urban and rural development, using social scientific methodologies.
- Food and Resource Economics, with a focus on developing human resources capable of understanding food systems, and planning and evaluating policies and projects related to the environment, agriculture, and regional development.
- Graduate education focusing on developing advanced engineers and researchers capable of contributing to globally competitive horticultural management, the design of safe food systems, and the diverse development of the food industry both in Japan and abroad.
Work content and job description
Desired qualities:
- Ability to conduct domestic and international research based on scientific fieldwork on topics such as SDGs in agriculture and rural areas, the environment (including climate change and energy issues), and high value-added food.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty members in the field of landscape studies to address interdisciplinary issues, such as the realization of disaster-resistant, high-welfare regional societies.
- Ability to actively provide practical advice and academic educational support based on international experience, such as participation in international conferences, fieldwork, and volunteer activities.
- While the main lectures will be conducted in Japanese, the ability to teach some subjects in English is also required.
- Willingness to actively participate in university and other administrative operations.
