Work content and job description
3D Architech is a U.S. university spin-out startup founded on cutting-edge 3D printing technology. We offer metal 3D printing solutions with micron-scale high resolution, enabling innovative material design and fine structural control.
Leveraging this advanced technology, you will be engaged in developing gel materials and improving manufacturing processes across a wide range of applications—including fuel cells, water electrolyzers, cooling systems, and catalysts—while considering the unique physical and functional requirements of each field.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to address complex technical challenges and scale up our innovative solutions from R&D to manufacturing.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
・Lead the R&D team in designing and developing advanced materials and components
・Identify technical challenges and develop hypothesis-driven solutions
・Drive projects from initial R&D through to manufacturing scale-up
・Collaborate with external partners and establish strategic alliances
・Stay abreast of emerging trends in materials science and metal manufacturing

Qualifications
Education and Degree Requirements
Master / Bachelor
Master's Degree or PhD Degree from STEM fields
Work experience
・Proven experience leading R&D teams in materials science, chemical engineering, or related fields
・Strong problem-solving skills with a first-principles approach
・Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
・Proficiency in standard PC tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Description

Candidates with the following experience are especially encouraged to apply:
・Experience in thermal management systems, including heatsink or cold plate design (theory, simulation, experimentation)
・Expertise in fluid dynamics simulation, particularly in thermal or catalytic systems
