Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    Research Center for Hydrogen Industrial Use and Storage (HYDROGENIUS) at Kyushu University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher. The successful candidate will engage in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of materials science and data science. Possible research topics include:
    ・ Design, development, and characterization of high-strength steels with resistance to hydrogen environments
    ・ Elucidation of hydrogen embrittlement mechanisms through fracture mechanics testing, microscopic observations, advanced material characterization, and/or numerical simulations
    ・ Development of novel evaluation methodologies using machine learning and image analysis
    Experience in one or more of these areas is desirable but not required. We welcome applicants from diverse academic backgrounds who are enthusiastic about pioneering interdisciplinary research in structural materials and data-driven approaches.

    Overtime and other explanations : Specialized Job Discretionary Labor System will be applied upon consent.
    Each day shall be considered 7 hours and 45 minutes.
