Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    We invite applications for one Assistant Professor position in the field of system software at the Department of Computer Science, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology.

  • Work content and job description

    The successful candidate will engage in research and education in the field of
    system software including teaching responsibilities for the “System Programming Experiments” course.

    Note: Reassignments or concurrent duties may be ordered, but in principle not against the individual’s will, as per Article 4 of the University of Tokyo’s Employment Regulations for Faculty Members.

Wages

    Holidays : Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and Year-end and New Year holidays
    (December 29 – January 3)
    Leave: Annual paid leave, special leave, etc.

    Overtime and other explanations : The position is subject to the discretionary labor system for professional work, and the appointee is deemed to have worked 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.

Qualifications

  • Education and Degree Requirements

    Ph.D. / Doctor

    Applicants must hold a doctoral degree by the time of appointment.

  • Work experience

    Applicants must have a proven track record in system software research.
    Applicants must have sufficient proficiency in Japanese to conduct lectures, supervise students, and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
