Wages

  • Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~ 9 million yen

    ・According to the "Tokyo Metropolitan Public University Corporation University Teacher Salary Regulations".
    ・ Wages (approximate) is an estimated amount calculated by taking into account basic salary + basic job amount +
    performance salary + salary increase.
    ・In addition to the above, various additions will be paid according to the duties based on corporate regulations.
    ・The above annual salary is for one fiscal year (from April to March of the following year), and necessary adjustments
    will be made according to the time of appointment.
    ・Performance pay will be paid according to the period of service and the performance rate according to the
    "Performance Salary Regulations for University Teachers" of the Tokyo Metropolitan Public University Corporation.
    ・Basic salary, basic job amount, performance salary, salary increase, etc. are subject to change due to revisions to rules
    and regulations.

Working hours

  • Working hours :09:00-17:45

    Break time :12:00-13:00

    Holidays : Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays), national holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3 of the following year).
    【Vacation】
    Annual paid leave, summer vacation, condolence leave, maternity and childcare leave, etc.
    *Subject to the "Regulations on Working Hours, Holidays, and Leave for Tokyo Metropolitan University Faculty and Staff."

    Overtime and other explanations : A discretionary work system for professional work applies, 7 hours and 45 minutes per day (deemed working hours).

  • Education and Degree Requirements

    Ph.D. / Doctor

    An applicant must meet the following three criteria:
    (1) Hold a doctoral degree at the time of application.
    (2) Familiarity with chemistry and ability to teach and conduct research in English (desirably also in Japanese).
    (3) A person who can carry out education, research, social contribution, and organizational management with enthusiasm and responsibility.
