Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The advertised position is in the Computational Science Research Laboratory, which focuses on research in computational science methods with an emphasis on civil engineering. In particular, the group conducts research on the development and validation of mathematical models and numerical methods, as well as their application to a wide range of engineering and scientific problems using supercomputers.
In the coming era of supercomputing, the enhancement and acceleration of high-performance computing programs—achieved through collaborative and complementary integration of computational science and computer science—will become increasingly important. Likewise, the development of new applications and algorithms within the field of computational science will play a critical role.
This group addresses these challenges from the perspective of computational science. It also promotes collaborative research on large-scale numerical simulations in cooperation with researchers from diverse applied fields, both domestically and internationally, by leveraging frameworks such as the Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN), in which the Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies serves as one of the core institutions.
Work content and job description
