Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Nagoya University, Tokai National Higher Education and Research System, is promoting the JST-CREST project “Creation of Innovative Integrated Fundamental Technologies for Materials Production and Recycling Processes” under the theme “Development of High-Performance Materials through Upcycling of Industrial Waste Silicon.”
This project regards silicon industrial waste derived from discarded photovoltaic panels and semiconductor substrate manufacturing as a potential resource, and aims to establish the scientific principles of material development methods that enable its upcycling into high value-added functional materials such as thermoelectric materials.

Ph.D. / Doctor
Applicants who hold, or are expected to obtain, a Ph.D. (or possess equivalent research experience) in materials science, inorganic chemistry, metallurgy, electrochemistry, or related fields.
