Education and research on the elucidation of the environmental response mechanisms of forest plants based on plant physiology & development or plant systematics by information science, and on the creation of forest plant resources adapted to fluctuating environments.

Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~ 7 million yen
The annual salary will be determined in accordance with the pertinent regulations of the University, considering experience and other relevant factors.

Overtime and other explanations : Working hours, Break time, Overtime: Based on Discretionary Labor System for professional work, it is regarded that working hours are 7 hours and 45 minutes irrespective of how much time the employee actually spends on his/her work.
Days off: Every Saturday and Sunday, national holidays, and New Year’s holidays from December 29–January 3 in addition to an annual leave entitlement.

Ph.D. / Doctor
(1) Ph.D. degree or expected to obtain Ph.D. degree before appointment.
(2) Able to work with enthusiasm for student education and research guidance as both an undergraduate and graduate school teacher.

This tenure-track position is for a maximum five-year appointment (from the date of appointment until March 31, 2029) with mid-term (3rd year) and final (5th year) examinations according to the specified criteria. The successful candidate who fulfills the criteria will be employed as a permanent Assistant Professor. If outstanding results are achieved, promotion to a permanent Associate Professor will be considered. During the tenure-track period, more than 80% of the time can be used for research. Annual research and start-up expenses will be allocated.
