Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Research and Development under the Kyushu University Reform Plan for Activation Program :
"Establishing a Research Foundation for Touch Sharing and Emotion Communication Beyond Time and Space.",※
※Following is the adopted project of The Kyushu University Reform Plan for Activation Program:
"Establishing a Research Foundation for Touch Sharing and Emotion Communication Beyond Time and Space."
This reform plan aims to establish a research foundation for Touch Sharing and Emotion Communication Beyond Time and Space. An interdisciplinary research team will form the core of this study, based on haptic technology, focusing on digital touch to revolutionize remote communication. Current communication systems lack haptic information, presenting numerous challenges in conveying information to visually impaired individuals and in the transmission of non-verbal cues. Digital touch technology enables the remote conveyance of texture, touch, and emotions, offering solutions to these challenges. This research infrastructure is expected to contribute to alleviating loneliness, enhancing social welfare, and expanding human communication capabilities to a new dimension, thus having a profound impact on society as a whole.
