Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    Computational Biology (Bioinformatics (including protein structure analysis, genome analysis, etc.), systems biology, cheminformatics, image analysis, medical statistics, etc. based on data science analysis)

  • Work content and job description

    * The successful applicant will be responsible for designing curricula and courses in the fields of Data Science, AI-related research, and Computational Biology. The applicant will also be required to carry out lectures / practices / practical training in the above specialized fields for both undergraduate and graduate students.
    * The successful applicant will be required to engage, instruct, and supervise undergraduate and graduate student research.
    * The successful applicant will proceed the above specialized research as PI.
    * The successful applicant will work on operations necessary for the management of institute, school, department, etc.

    * The successful applicant should have a PhD or a doctoral degree.
    * The successful applicant should have sufficient knowledge of the fundamentals of data science and AI and be able to play a central role in the education of this field at the School of Life Science and Technology.
    * The successful applicant should have world-class research achievements in the area of specialization.
    * The successful applicant should have the ability and willingness to lead the above-mentioned specialized fields, take leadership in Japan and overseas, and develop original research.
    * The successful applicant should have sufficient educational experience in the above specialized fields and can actively promote education at the School of Life Science and Technology.
    * The successful applicant should be highly motivated, willing to participate in the organization management of the School of Life Science and Technology.
