    Komazawa University Department of English, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, invites applications for the following tenured position. The Department of English provides both required and elective courses for students in their first through fourth years with various majors and English proficiency levels.

    After screening the applications, short-listed candidates will be invited to appear before the Department to present a demonstration lesson and be interviewed in both Japanese and English. This interview will be conducted in the middle of July, 2024.

    (b) Academic presentations and talks

    (iii) An essay on the applicant's research theme, research experience and plans for future research (In Japanese, 1 copy not exceeding one A4-sized page, free format).
    (iv) Three copies of one representative publication, either offprints or photocopies accepted. (A few chapters excerpted from a doctoral dissertation may be submitted as one publication.)
    (v) A summary of the representative publication (iv) (If the publication is in Japanese, write the summery in English. If the publication is in English or another language, write the summery in Japanese. 1 copy not exceeding one A4-sized page, free format).
    (vi) An essay on the applicant's hopes and aspirations for teaching English as a foreign language at Komazawa University by incorporating his/her perspective on teaching English and practical experience of teaching English such as class activities, teaching methods and academic assessment (In English, 1 copy not exceeding one A4-sized page, free format).
    (vii) A document stating the names, current positions, and contact information of two people who can be inquired about (i)-(iii)
