    [Research Field]
    The RIKEN Center for Brain Science (CBS) is Japan's premier neuroscience research center. Taking advantage of the multidisciplinarity of the fields of medicine, biology, chemistry, engineering, mathematical sciences, and psychology, our aim is to advance basic research and develop innovative technologies for elucidating the functions of the brain and the mind at multiple levels from genes, molecules, cells and whole organisms to societal systems. We also aim at finding solutions to the issues which contemporary society confronts, e.g. how we grapple with the psychological ramifications of our own inventions such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, and how we seek solutions to conquer diseases such as depression and dementia.

    Job Description:
    As the head of Support Unit for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, the successful candidate will be in charge of the Unit and maintain, manage and operate human MRI systems (3T system and 7T system) to provide high-quality technical support to engineers and researchers both within and outside RIKEN. S/he is also expected to develop and implement improvements to MRI methods.
