Background of the recruitment and description of the project
In April 2020, TMDU established the M&D Data Science Center for leading new medical and dental research, medical care, and education at the University in the Society 5.0 era from the perspective of data science. One of the departments of the center, the Department of AI Technology Development, is responsible for conducting research on developing AI technologies including mathematical and statistical models, for medical, dental, and life science research, and for training students to become healthcare data scientists who can carry out such research.
We are now accepting applications for the position of professor in the Department of AI Technology Development as follows. -
Work content and job description
(1)Promote research and development of AI technologies based on theories and technologies of mathematical science, artificial intelligence, statistical science, information science, etc. that utilize big data, in order to understand complex mechanisms such as those of diseases.
(2)Practical biomedical research using the above technologies.
(3)Education and research guidance in undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs. -

Annual Salary : 8 million yen ~ 10 million yen
Salary will be paid and determined according to TMDU salary regulations.

Break time :12:00-13:00
Holidays : Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese National Holidays, Year-end and New Year Holidays (12/29 - 1/3)
Overtime and other explanations : Discretionary working system for professional work. The working hours for a day are deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes.
