Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Faculty of Global Management at Chuo University conducts about 70% of its curricular classes in foreign languages. The majority of students are required to take specialized courses in English, participate in discussions and presentations in seminar courses, and write their graduation research papers in English. To achieve these academic goals, we are looking for individuals who can teach classes and supervise students in English based on their excellent research and teaching backgrounds.
Work content and job description
a.Teaching the following courses (planned)
・Spatial Economics
・Economic Geography
・Microeconomics
・Introductory Economics
・Introductory Seminar
・Advanced Seminars
*Upon request by the faculty, the successful applicant may teach "Global Studies" (preparatory courses for studying abroad or interning overseas).
b.Various university administrative duties (committees, public relations, entrance exams, etc.)
c.Other duties
・ Providing support to students in study inquiries at the Academic Support Center (ASC) of the Faculty of Global Management.

Annual Salary : 9 million yen ~
The amount of the main salary to be applied by contract shall be determined in accordance with the categories set out in the Annex to the 'Detailed Regulations for Teachers at Central University', taking into account the academic background and work experience of the employee.
In addition to the main salary, the employee is entitled to a transport and commuting allowance in accordance with the 'Regulations on the Salary of Teachers at Central University'.
*Model annual income of 13 million yen for a 45-year-old and 15 million yen for a 65-year-old
Associate Professor
Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~

Description
(1)Expertise in theoretical and empirical research in spatial economics or economic geography.
(2)Ability to teach and supervise students in English.
(3)Outstanding teaching and research background in the area of spatial economics or economics geography.
(4)Teaching experience at a university prior to the start date.
(5)Ability to perform administrative duties in Japanese. (Faculty and committee meetings are conducted in Japanese.)
(6)Positive attitude in the midst of new challenges and good communication.
(7)The required degree is a “doctoral degree”.
