Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
[Research Field]
RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing (RQC) aims to study quantum information theory, develop techniques for quantum control and measurement, build quantum computing hardware and software, and explore novel quantum technologies. We promote the progress of quantum information science and contribute to society through the application of quantum technologies. Our unit pursues the realization of scalable superconducting quantum computers and conducts research and development of three-dimensional integration of superconducting circuits, including quantum chips and peripheral circuits. We extend the design method of a quantum chip to that of the system level, ensuring the system having scalability and integrability.

Work content and job description
The successful candidates will work on research and development of superconducting quantum computers, particularly on three-dimensional integration of superconducting quantum circuits using flip-chip bonding and through-silicon vias. They will establish a concrete design method of a quantum computing system through their integration of a multi-layered vertical accessible quantum circuit.
Research experience in related fields, such as quantum electronics, superconducting electronics, microwave engineering, and nanofabrication technology, is desirable.
The job description may be changed during the contract period or upon contract renewal to the extent described above.
