Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    In April 2024, the Organic and Inorganic Quantum Spin Science and Technology Research Institute (tentative) (director: Professor Kazuhiro Marumoto) will be launched. This research organization elucidates the factors that govern the properties, functions, and performance of organic and inorganic materials, devices, composite structural materials, biological materials, earth materials, etc. from a microscopic perspective at the molecular, atomic, and nuclear levels, and conduct quantum spin science and technology research that provides a unified understanding of phenomena. It will develop innovative technologies through the interdisciplinary fusion of micro analysis technology, material synthesis technology, macro analysis technology, and device fabrication technology, and promote interdisciplinary research that goes beyond existing fields. We are looking for theoretical researchers who has experience in development and applying analysis methods for large-scale atomic systems using density functional theory, etc., and who will analyze the organic and inorganic materials mentioned above in a unified manner from micro to macro systems based on quantum theory in cooperation with researchers at this research organization.

  • Work content and job description

    In addition to research and operating the research organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for education in College of Engineering Sciences, School of Science and Engineering, and Subprogram in Materials Science, Master’s/Doctoral Program in Engineering Sciences, Degree Programs in Pure and Applied Sciences, Graduate School of Science and Technology.

Wages

  • Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~ 11 million yen

    The amount of salary will be determined in accordance with the relevant regulations of the University based on academic and professional background.
