Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
In this open call for participants, the Cyber Community Research Division of the Cybermedia Center plans to hire one professor to conduct research and education while engaging in the duties described below.
The applicant is required;
To develop co-creative domestic and international collaborative research using information and communication technologies in one of the following research fields of
■architectural space recognition ability contributing to architecture drawing education and graphic engineering
■architecture and urban design using digital twin, metaverse, xR, etc.
■human behavior in architecture and urban spaces using simulation
■the advancement of electronic library systems and open science
To spend 35% of efforts on education-related university-wide support services (operational support for open science data utilization operations such as electronic library systems, support for architectural drawing of the center for education in liberal arts and sciences, operational supervision of Metaverse platform services, and management and maintenance of these systems, etc.) Note that the content of the university-wide support services may change over time in response to the current situation.
Furthermore, the division promotes education and research as a cooperative division of global architecture in the Graduate School of Engineering.
We require the applicant to have specialized skills and high educational and research capabilities in the specialized field described below;
The successful applicant will be in charge of education in the Center for Education in Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering, and the Graduate School of Engineering, e.g., "Architecture and Urban Design."

(2) Excellent research achievements in the related field/s
(3) Ability to teach classes at the Center for Education in Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering, and the Graduate School of Engineering
(4) Business level or above Japanese and English language proficiency
(5) Sufficient competence and experience in operations as outlined

(1)The candidate should excel in one of the research fields described above (Listed in order of priority. It is more desirable if the candidate is familiar with multiple fields)
(2)The candidate is expected to develop co-creative domestic and international collaborative research with other fields and organizations using information and communication technologies in the above fields.
(3)The candidate should have an excellent ability to keep the balance among the wide variety of duties involved in university-wide support operations, research, and education, and collaboration with external organizations, etc.
(4) The candidate should be able to present proposals for the next generation architecture and urban design using information and communication technologies, its vision and proposals.
