Courses to be assigned: Global History or Global Society or Intercultural Understanding, etc., Seminar for Global Studies I, II, English for Global Communication I–IV, English for Critical Thinking I, II, Junior Seminar I, II (for 3rd year students), Senior Seminar I, II (for 4th year students), Pre-seminar, etc.
(Note: We are in a transitional period from the current curriculum to a new curriculum starting in 2026. The successful candidate is expected to be flexible working with both the old and new curriculum.)

A doctoral degree in a relevant field.
Description
1) In conformance with the recruitment policy of the Prefectural University of Kumamoto
2) A doctoral degree in a relevant field.
3) For a person employed as Assistant Professor, a five-year contract (renewable only once) is possible. (During the contract period, if he/she is promoted, the person may receive a permanent post.)
4) Ability to teach in the Master's Degree Program in the future
5) High level of English proficiency; ability to teach classes in English
6) Active participation in English Education in the university
7) After employment, the ability and willingness to live in the city of Kumamoto or its environs
8) Applicants of any nationality and age are encouraged to apply, but please note that the retirement age is 65. Retirement occurs on the first March 31st after your 65th birthday.
