Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    We are recruiting a project researcher in Tanaka Lab at Department of Computer Science, Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology. We are conducting mathematical studies on complex dynamical phenomena and time series data

    The researcher in this recruitment will be engaged in the Project "Mathematical analysis with reservoir computing AI" in the Program "Comprehensive Mathematical Understanding of the Complex Control System between Organs and Challenge for Ultra-Early Precision Medicine" (JST Moonshot R&D Program).

    The research topics include mathematical analysis of biological and medical data using machine learning methods as well as development of mathematical foundation for very early detection and prevention of diseases.

    Ph.D. / Doctor

    or a Ph.D. candidate with an expected completion date before the employment start date

  • Work experience

    Applicants should have an appropriate background who can engage in research on the items listed in the job description column.
    It is desirable (but not mandatory) that the applicant is familiar with mathematical sciences (e.g. nonlinear dynamical systems theory, complexity science, machine learning, time series analysis) and able to conduct numerical simulations using Python and/or other programming languages.
