    (1) Applicants must have expertise of the courses they are responsible for.
    (2) Applicants must have or be expected to obtain a doctoral degree or have a book or dissertation that is equivalent to a doctoral thesis.
    (3) Applicants should be able to give lectures in English.
    (4) Applicants must have sufficient Japanese language skills to carry out duties on school matters if their native language is not Japanese.

    Period of Appointment: 5 years (Tenure-track)
    Promotion to Associate Professor (tenured) will be based on research and teaching achievements during the tenure. However, early tenure review during the term may also be possible depending on performance. Depending on the applicant's research achievements at the time of application, he/she may be hired as an Associate Professor (tenured) through concurrent tenure review.

    There is a probationary period (6 months).
