    International Christian University (ICU) is a private, bilingual liberal arts university with an undergraduate College of Liberal Arts and graduate programs. ICU’s educational mission is based on Christian and democratic principles. ICU has 3,000 students from Japan and overseas. The university is located on a wooded campus in the suburbs of Tokyo.

    We are pleased to announce an open search for a part-time lecturer position in international relations. The successful applicant is expected to teach an undergraduate foundation (100-level) course, 国際関係史 International History in the College of Liberal Arts.

Wages

  • Wage per class Amount : 6000 yen ~ 7500 yen

    Wage for one 70-minute class period per week is 6,000 yen to 7,500 yen. To be determined based on the background.

Working hours

  • Working hours :09:00-18:00

    Overtime and other explanations : Three 70-minute class periods per week for 11 weeks. Actual working hours will depend on the course schedule. The class schedule is from 8:50-19:00 as of AY2024.

  • Description

    1. Ph.D. or equivalent in political science/international relations or a related field is required.
    2. Language of instruction: English or Japanese
    3. Current residency in Japan (Applicants may be of any nationality but need to reside in Japan.)
