The faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University invites applications for the academic position of associate professor according to the following description.

Work content and job description
〔Research Area〕
Urban and regional design studies, especially for snowy and cold regions in Japan.
Comprehensive planning and design of cities, architecture, and landscapes, especially for snowy and cold regions in Japan.
〔Responsibilities〕

〔Scope of Work〕
1. Teaching Duties
Graduate courses offered by the Division of Architectural and Structural Design in both Japanese and English such as Advanced Urban Regenerative Planning, Advanced Urban Design Theory, Advanced Studio on Architectural and Urban Design I and II. Undergraduate courses offered by the Course of Architecture, Department of Socio-Environment Engineering such as Urban Planning, Community Design Planning, Introductory Exercise on Planning and Design, Exercise in Planning and Design I, II, III, Urban Planning and Design Practice，and Exercise on Digital tools with BIM and Computational Design Methodologies.
2. Supervising Duties
Thesis supervision for undergraduate and graduate students
3. Other Duties
Duties as Faculty / Course committee member, etc. -

Ph.D. / Doctor
Ph.D. at the time of appointment, or the candidate of Ph.D. with evidence from the supervisor.
