Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Department of Applied Quantum Physics and Nuclear Engineering consists of four courses : (1)Applied Nuclear Physics course, (2) Nuclear Energy System course, (3)Quatum Science of Materials course and (4) Applied Physics course.
The associate professor will belong to the Applied Physics Research laboratory of the Department of Applied Quantum Physics and Nuclear Engineering department, Applied Physics course and will be in charge of teaching and research related to quantum engineering, working on structural control and functionalization of molecular thin films, nanomaterials, biomolecules etc. from the viewpoint of applied physics.

Teaching Responsibilities:
Lectures (including experiments and exercises) and supervise student's research for the graduate and undergraduate schools. In addition, you may also be responsible for international course lectures and our core education courses (university-wide education). Some of these courses are taught in English.

Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~
The annual salary system, which was introduced on 1st of April 2020, will be applied. The annual salary is determined in accordance with the university's pay scale based on experience, etc.

Description
(1)Doctoral or PhD degree.
(2)Have sufficient teaching ability (including instruction and lectures in English) and enthusiasm and ability to take charge of the administration of the undergraduate and graduate doctoral programs.
(3)Have particularly outstanding leading research achievements in the above-mentioned specialized fields.
(4)The applicant should have the willingness and ability to actively engage in interdisciplinary research with other areas of specialization and the development of new research fields from a long-term perspective, in addition to the above-mentioned areas of specialization.
(5)Have the ability and enthusiasm to actively develop education and research activities from an international perspective and social cooperation with industry, government, etc.
(6)Must be involved and cooperative in the administrative and other operations of the University and the department.
