Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
(1) Teaching duties: Duties include teaching English language skills or relevant classes to undergraduate and/or graduate students. Example course titles include Current Topics, Academic Listening, Academic Reading, Oral Presentation, Reading for Academic Purposes, and English Literature.
(2) Class length: Undergraduate classes are 100 minutes long and meet once a week for 14 weeks per semester. Graduate classes are 100 minutes long and meet once a week for 7 weeks per quarter.
(3) Class time: Current Topics is taught either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd period from Monday to Friday. Other English classes can be offered between 1st and 5th period from Monday to Friday.

Deliver undergraduate classes and/or lectures; teaching graduate-level classes also possible depending on qualifications.

Description
Applicants must meet each of the following requirements:
1. Academic background in Applied Linguistics, English Literature, or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) preferred
2. Master’s degree (or equivalent) required; Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D.) preferred
3. Teaching experience in higher education in Japan
4. Native or near-native English proficiency preferred
5. Conversational Japanese or better preferred
