Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    Optieum Biotechnologies Inc. is a pre-clinical stage biotechnology company founded in June 2020. Our antibody screening platform technology known as the ‘Eumbody System’, enables to develop and detect optimized ScFV CAR-T cells that are highly effective for a specific cancer target. We are actively conducting research with our platform technology to develop CAR-T cells as our primary modality.

  • Work content and job description

    Will be engaged in experimental work for the platform technology, the ‘Eumbody System’ that enhances the function of CAR-T cells.
    Key activities for this position are:

    -PCR, Cloning, ABI sequencing
    -Develop and maintain cell lines
    -Maintain good communication and coordination
    -Enthusiastic to complete other tasks as needed

  • Education and Degree Requirements

    Master

  • Work experience

    - MS in Life Science with at least 1 year of work experience in molecular biology/genetics.
    - Experienced in DNA/ RNA extraction, PCR, cloning.
    - Experienced with mammalian cell culture.
    - Good in everyday communication in both English and Japanese.
    - A fast learner with self-motivation.
    - Interested in immunotherapy for intractable diseases (especially cancer)

  • Description

    We are seeking for highly motivated candidates in our Eumbody/Platform Group to support our experimental work related to scFV library development and to assist in identifying new scFVs to increase our capabilities.
    This role will also play a vital part in supporting the development of antigen presenting cells (APC).
    Direct experience and knowledge in molecular biology and cell culture techniques are essential.
