Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Tsukuba is seeking an Assistant Professor in Philology and History of Ancient West Asia, with a focus on the study of the cuneiform cultural sphere.
Work content and job description
1. Engaging in research activities and management at the Research Center for West Asian Civilization.
2. Teaching courses in Philology and History of Ancient West Asia at the Master's and Doctoral Programs in Humanities.

Education and Degree Requirements
Ph.D. / Doctor
Candidates must have received specialized education in the philology and history of ancient Western Asia and be engaged in research in this field.
Description
1. Must be capable of conducting administrative duties, teaching, and research supervision in English.
2. Proficiency in Japanese is desirable but not required.
3. Preference will be given to candidates who have earned their PhD within the past seven years.
