Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Tokai National Higher Education and Research System (THERS), consists of Nagoya University and Gifu University, aims to establish a regional, national, and international development and research hub in the fields where the THERS can demonstrate its strong advantages and competitiveness. This position is for one specially appointed assistant professor who will promote interdisciplinary research in glycoscience and related fields.

You will be responsible for the following research and research management tasks as a staff of Designated Professor Yoichiro Harada group.
1. Innovative interdisciplinary research with glycoscience and related fields
2. Research in the life sciences, especially medicine or biology
3. Collaborative research related to interdisciplinary research with glycoscience and related fields
4. Management of interdisciplinary research in iGCORE

Work experience
Those who meet all of the following qualifications.
1. Those who have at least 5 years of practical experience in research and investigation related to biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology, and related work
2. Those who have a doctoral degree (including an equivalent degree awarded abroad)
3. Those who have knowledge of research methods in the fields of biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology
4. Those who are willing to cooperate with relevant parties inside and outside the university and to sincerely and proactively plan and support research projects implemented by the university
Applications from those with any of the following experience are particularly welcome.
・Research experience in glycobiology, genome editing, and metabolism
・Those who have at least 5 years of experience in clinical development or related work in a private company, etc.
