  • Education and Degree Requirements

    Ph.D. / Doctor

    - The applicant must be a researcher with a doctoral degree, or the equivalent, in one of the research fields listed on the attached sheet.
    - The applicant should have a distinguished record of achievement in research and teaching in the applicant's field, and should have a strong commitment to both research and teaching.

  • Description

    (1) The applicant should have experience in daily use of the same or equivalent equipment and software as those installed in the Digital Factory of the KYOTO Design Lab.

    2)The applicant must have experience in conducting seminars, workshops, or lectures for novice users to promote understanding of the correlation among various equipment, software, and data formats in digital fabrication.

    3) For applicants who do not have a doctoral degree, they should demonstrate the prospect of obtaining a doctoral degree within five years of taking up the position.


    Additional information:
    Specific details of the activities, results, equipment and software used in the seminars, workshops and lectures on digital fabrication should be clearly stated in the application documents.
