Novozymes Japan K.K., the Japanese subsidiary of Novonesis, sells enzymes and microorganisms for industrial use, provides technical services and conducts research and development using microorganisms.

It is one of the very few foreign-owned companies with a laboratory in Japan conducting fundamental research.
The R&D department is engaged in product development projects and technology development with researchers in Japan and overseas (Denmark, the USA, China, etc.), using Japan's strengths in microbial fermentation and genetic engineering technology, to develop products for the global market. Mastery of enzyme chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics or microbiology is required.

Description
As a member of the R&D department of the Japanese subsidiary, you will be involved in research and development as part of projects carried out with research institutes in Denmark and the USA through daily e-mail communication, TEAMS meetings, etc. Therefore, a certain degree of English language ability is essential.
The successful candidate will have good communication skills in both English and Japanese.
In addition, it will be possible to acquire genome editing technology and digital automation technology in our company.
(Participating societies include the Japanese Society for Agricultural Chemistry, the Japanese Society for Biological Engineering, the Japanese Society for Genome Editing, the Japanese Society for Bioinformatics, the Filamentous Gene Research Society and the Enzyme Engineering Society.
